Rhea Nelson brings over six years of coaching experience to the ice, specializing in Learn to Skate, Excel, and well-balanced Singles. His comprehensive approach allows him to offer lessons across various disciplines, ensuring that skaters receive well-rounded training. Rhea is particularly adept at both on- and off-harness work, which enhances his students' technical skills and overall performance.

After taking a 14-year hiatus from competing, Rhea made a triumphant return to competitive skating, earning the title of gold medalist at the 2024 Adult Nationals in Championship Masters Intermediate-Novice Men. This remarkable achievement speaks to his dedication and skill, and it also fuels his passion for coaching.

This fall, Rhea will embark on his first ice show contract, showcasing his talents on stage once again. However, he is eager to return to coaching with VIDA in early 2025, where he looks forward to sharing his experience and passion for skating with our students.
