Evgeni Nemirovskiy is an internationally renowned figure skating choreographer and ballet professional with over two decades of experience crafting some of the most memorable and successful routines in the world of competitive skating. A graduate of the prestigious College of Figure Skating Choreographers at the Academy for Ballet Masters in Moscow (1990-1995), Nemirovskiy is one of a select few professionals globally to have completed this elite training program—widely regarded as the world’s only institution dedicated exclusively to figure skating choreography. This distinctive education laid the foundation for his distinguished career.
Throughout his career, Coach Evgeni has worked with top-tier skating clubs, coaches, and athletes around the world. He has created choreography for numerous Olympic and World Championship competitors across countries such as Ukraine, Korea, Germany, Switzerland, Slovakia, and Finland, establishing a reputation for his ability to blend athleticism with artistry. His work is recognized for its precision, emotional depth, and ability to highlight the unique strengths of each skater.
Coach Evgeni is perhaps best known for his work with Olympic champions Viktor Petrenko and Oksana Baiul. In 1992, he choreographed Petrenko’s iconic Olympic-winning program, a routine that helped secure Petrenko’s gold medal in Albertville. Two years later, he choreographed Baiul’s unforgettable Olympic-winning program, which played a crucial role in her gold medal victory at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer. These groundbreaking programs cemented his status as one of the sport’s leading choreographers.
Beyond his work with elite skaters, Coach Evgeni’s influence extends to coaching and mentoring the next generation of figure skating talent. His foundations in classical ballet and his deep understanding of movement and musicality lay the groundwork for his choreographic style with a rich, classical approach that sets him apart from other choreographers in the sport.
